Open auditions for Halloween Horror Nights 34 at Universal Studios Florida include a casting call for roller skaters.

The entrance of Universal Studios Florida features a prominent medallion for Halloween Horror Nights, along with several house posters above the open gates, as people walk below.

“Universal Orlando Resort is accepting submissions for highly skilled quad-skaters with movement ability to appear in Halloween Horror Nights,” the casting call states. “Candidates must be comfortable working in dim or theatrical lighting, fog effects, and in large crowds.”

Candidates must a headshot, full-length photo, resume, and one-minute video demonstration of their roller-skating ability.

We don’t know how roller skaters might be incorporated into Halloween Horror Nights but we would guess for a stage show — maybe a new version of “Nightmare Fuel.” Skating would probably be considered too dangerous in an unpredictable scare zone or haunted house.

The submission deadline is midnight on April 16.

Another casting call with the same submission deadline is seeking actors. They’re asked to submit a one-minute performance of a story without words.

The third casting call is seeking Scareactors, stilt walkers, and puppeteers. The audition post specifically states these are for haunted houses and street performances (scare zones).

“All sizes and looks are needed,” the post states. “Candidates must be comfortable working in dim or theatrical lighting, fog effects, and in large crowds. Previous experience is not required.”

The submission deadline for these performers is midnight on May 31, 2025.

Universal Orlando Resort hasn’t announced any haunted houses or scare zones but speculation maps hint at houses inspired by “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” “Fallout,” “The Last of Us Part II,” “Scream,” and “Terrifier.” It’s also rumored that Hami-Kuma, the HHN icon of Universal Studios Japan, may come to the U.S.

HHN 34 will begin on August 29, 2025, it’s earliest start date ever.
