Universal Studios trademarked the term “Halloween Horror Nights” in the United Kingdom, indicating their upcoming Great Britain theme park may host a version of the event.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Great Britain?
The trademark was first filed in November 2022 but only recently discovered by X user Universal Apex. It was officially entered into the registrar in March 2023 and expires in November 2032.
After a concept art leak, Universal officially announced Universal Studios Great Britain on Tuesday. The park is set to open in 2031, just before the 2032 expiration date of this trademark.
It’s important to note that even though Universal trademarked “Halloween Horror Nights,” they might not have HHN at Universal Studios Great Britain. The trademark leaves their options open and prevents someone else from using the event name.
In addition to the theme park, Universal Studios Great Britain will include a 500-room hotel, and a retail, dining, and entertainment complex. It will be the largest visitor attraction in the U.K. Universal expects the park to generate almost $64 billion for the country’s economy by 2055 and attract an estimated 8.5 million visitors in its first year.
Universal did not announce the park’s lands but possibilities based on concept art include Waterworld and Jurassic World. It’s also expected to have a Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
