Walt Disney World
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Construction work continues in Toy Story Land as more seating by Woody’s Lunch Box begins to take shape and the scrim on the mural has finally been removed.
- The Coke and Sprite droid carts that used to be seen in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge have now been added to the hallway by the old entrance of the Galactic Starcruiser.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Some of the bathrooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort have been refurbished, and in addition to the new theming, the resort has added its first companion restroom.
- As part of the ongoing refurbishment of Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney has shared the first public images of the newly-renovated hotel rooms.
New Merchandise
- While Star Wars Day, also known as May the 4th, is not until tomorrow, the first piece of official merchandise has arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the form of a Spirit Jersey.
- A new plush version of Stitch for Stitch Day, a.k.a. 626 Day, has arrived in Walt Disney World. We found the new plush at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom Park.
- A new Black Spire Outpost Spirit Jersey and a collection of “Star Wars” apparel has arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disneyland Resort
Disneyland Park
- The Mint Julep Bar, located in New Orleans Square has three new items available for the summer.
- Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and its attached companion restrooms are now closed for refurbishment in Adventureland at Disneyland Park along with other construction projects in the land.
Disney California Adventure
- Three new seasonal food items have arrived at the Cozy Cone Motel quick service windows in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure.
- Known for having delicious treats, Willie’s Churros at Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure has a new seasonal churro, and spoiler alert, Willie did it again.
- We headed over to Pym Test Kitchen in Avengers Campus to refuel on two new summertime menu offerings.
- A new, pull-apart pizza bread is available at multiple outdoor vending locations around Disney California Adventure as a limited time summer menu offering.
New Merchandise
- The new Black Spire Outpost Spirit Jersey has also landed in Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park just in time for May the 4th
Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Studios Florida
- Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp, the DreamWorks Land play area inspired by “Kung Fu Panda,” is seemingly undergoing a refurbishment.
- Crews have started removing theming from Studio Sweets, the candy shop on the corner of the Universal Studios Store in Universal Studios Florida, supporting the rumor that On Location will become a new sweets shop.
Islands of Adventure
- A new Raptor Bites snack kiosk has been built behind construction walls in Jurassic Park at Universal Islands of Adventure.
- The restrooms closest to the park entrance at Universal Islands of Adventure are now closed for refurbishment, and the entire building is now blocked by themed construction walls.
Entertainment and Media
- The TSA baskets used at Orlando International Airport (MCO) have recently received a Disney-themed refresh, as several of the plastic bins are now sporting cute images of Stitch.
- Actor Ryan Reynolds has teased a potential addition to the MCU that would star characters from the X-Men, with Deadpool taking on a supporting role.
