Though you can’t meet characters like Harry Potter or Dumbledore in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, guests may encounter exchange students, musicians, magical creatures, talking portraits, and Cosme Acajor herself.
Entertainment in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
Most of the characters and creatures can be spotted on the streets of Place Cachée, the main setting of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic in Epic Universe.
Aurors
Roaming Place Cachée
An Auror is a witch or wizard who works as a law enforcement official for the Ministry of Magic or other wizarding governing body. In Place Cachée, we have only seen wizard Aurors.
The Aurors wear matching three-piece suits, and carry their identification with them at all times, ready to step in when magical lawbreaking is taking place.
Exchange Students
Roaming Place Cachée

Exchange students (and more local Beauxbatons students) roam the streets, interacting with guests.

The Beauxbatons student wears a blue dress, a blue bow around her collar, a blue hat to match, and carries her wand in her hand.

Another student we encountered was from the Hufflepuff house at Hogwarts. She wore dark blue robes (the 1920s standard for Hogwarts) decorated with Hufflepuff house colors of yellow and black, and the house crest over the left chest. On her head was a bright yellow headband, and she also had a yellow tie to match.

She carried with her a book by Newt Scamander, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

Another Hufflepuff exchange student carried a leather Hogwarts book bag with the Monster Book of Monsters inside. The third student in this group — wearing a cranberry beret, sweater vest, and navy skirt — is from the American school, Ilvermorny.
Cosme Acajor
Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique

Cosme Acajor greets guests in her wand shop, Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique. Inside her shop, witches and wizards will find some of the finest wands in the world created by Cosme. She wears a pink, robe-like shawl over a yellow shirt and brown pants. She wears maroon colored gloves and heels of the same color. On her head is a turban that matches her shawl.
Magical Creatures
Bowtruckles
Flower shop window, locksmith shop window
The first set of bowtruckles can be found in the window of a flower shop in Place Cachée.
There are five in total hanging out on this potted plant, and no two bowtruckles look the same.

Each one has its own personality, even down to their tiny green faces with unique expressions.
Another bowtruckle can be found in the shop window for the local locksmith.
Here, you can see a tiny bowtruckle attempting to pick a nest of locks. The tiny creature actually moves, with its head tilting from side to side as it attempts to work its stem inside the lock.
Bowtruckles are hand-sized, insect-eating magical beasts that dwell within trees. Each one has two long, sharp fingers on each hand, and generally looks like a walking stick bug. In the film “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” Newt Scamander chooses a bowtruckle he calls “Pickett” as his favorite beast.
Puffskein
Center of Place Cachée during band performance
This puffskein appears with a band (below) that performs in the center of Place Cachée. The puffskein is a spherical, fluffy creature with big eyes, which guests will see blinking during shows. The beast stays on the band’s cart. Fred and George Weasley altered the puffskein to become the pygmy puff, a brighter-colored version of the fluffy beasts.
Demiguise
Bar Moonshine window
The demiguise has invisible properties and will only appear with help from an interactive wand spell.
Adult Niffler
Jewelry store window

A black niffler can be seen in a jewelry shop window, trying to be inconspicuous. Nifflers are attracted to shiny things, so just like in the first “Fantastic Beasts” film, this one is trying to sneak jewelry into its pocket.
Baby Nifflers
Les Galeries Mirifiques window

This Niffler is part of an interactive spell point, in which wizards or witches can cause the creature to drop its collection of pilfered gems.

Of course, more magical creatures appear in the attractions Le Cirque Arcanus and Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry.
Mooncalf
Oculus Regulus Opticien
The mooncalf can be found at Oculus Regulus Opticien. It peeks out from the window in the shop’s front door.

The adorable little critter looks on with its big, blue eyes, and will chirp, coo, and move at guests as they speak to it.
A trio of musicians plays music near the Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique shop at the center of Place Cachée. They each play a different horn: trombone, trumpet, and clarinet.
Talking Portraits
Place Cachée courtyard – Antiquities window

This large display window in an inner courtyard of Place Cachée features antique portraits, who will interact with guests outside.

There are three portraits of Sir Cadogan (former portrait guardian of Gryffindor Tower), an astronomer, and a musician. They speak to guests, responding live to their questions and commenting on their clothes.
