The digital sign on World Drive at Walt Disney World Resort has been fixed 8 months after it was damaged.

The sign was installed in May 2023, one of several new digital signs installed around Walt Disney World roadways at the time.

In August 2024, the sign was damaged. Though we don’t know exactly what happened, it appeared to have been hit by a crane or a tall truck.

Crews quickly removed the broken pieces of the sign. By November 2024, the entire sign was taken down. Crews rebuilt the screen on the ground.

It has now been reinstalled in two pieces. There’s one large rectangular screen and a second smaller square screen. They were not active on Friday morning, but the screens usually display directional information. The old signs mounted on the bridge just past the digital signs have also been removed.

World Drive runs from I-4 to Magic Kingdom. The sign is on the southbound side, leading away from Magic Kingdom towards EPCOT.
