When “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” debuts this summer, Walt Disney World will start requiring Annual Passholders to make a park reservation for Magic Kingdom no matter the time of day.
Passholder Park Pass Update – Disney Starlight Park Reservations
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” is the first year-round nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom in nearly 10 years — since Main Street Electrical Parade ended its last run in 2016. The new parade debuts on July 20, 2025.
Beginning on that date, Annual Passholders must hold a theme park reservation to visit Magic Kingdom at any time of day on any day, including after 2 p.m.
Since January 2023, Annual Passholders have been able to enter any of the four theme parks after 2 p.m. without a reservation — with the exception of Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays.
Passholders will still be able to visit EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom after 2 p.m. without a reservation.
Until July 20, Passholders can still visit Magic Kingdom after 2 p.m. on weekdays without a reservation.
There also continue to be “Good-to-Go” days, on which Passholders can visit a select park at any time of day without a reservation.
“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away”

“Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” was announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in 2024. Disney began casting for the parade in September 2024. They have released concept art for several floats, which are inspired by the artwork of Mary Blair. The lead float has the Blue Fairy, Peter Pan, and Wendy. Other floats are inspired by “Moana,” “Encanto,” Disney Princesses and their princes, “Coco,” and “Wish.” The finale float has Mickey & Friends and more princesses.
Earlier this year, Disney shared a behind-the-scenes look at Cast Members working on new light-up costumes. The parade is already listed on the Walt Disney World official website and My Disney Experience app.
