The ending banner for Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom has returned after a 5-year absence that began with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Festival of Fantasy Parade Finale Banner
Two Cast Members carry the banner on a long pole after the parade’s final float. It signals the end of the parade so guests and other Cast Members know it’s safe to walk on the road.
Prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, two of the unit’s circus dancers carried the finale banner. The Cast Members now carrying the banner wear the red tail coats and black shorts of Storybook Circus.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Festival of Fantasy Parade was suspended from March 2020 to March 2022. However, the finale banner did not return with the rest of the parade. Instead, the Storybook Circus Cast Members have carried a plain rope after the last float for the past three years.
The banner’s design remains approximately the same. The parade’s name is written on the front in the usual wordmark style. On the back is an image of Mickey in his parade costume with the phrase, “See ya real soon!”
There are additional triangular pennants hanging from the pole, which is now gold instead of red. See the Festival of Fantasy Parade banner in our TikTok video below.
You can see the banner with its original red pole and pennants, and carried by dancers, in the original version of the parade below:
