It looks like Walt Disney World is planning some refurbishment work for Toy Story Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Toy Story Mania Construction Permit Filed
Disney’s Facility Asset Management segment filed a Notice of Commencement for “General Construction” at 585 Stage Ln., Bay Lake, FL, the approximate address of Toy Story Mania in Toy Story Land. Disney has hired the Adena Corporation, a general contractor, for the work.
Adena is a frequent collaborator with Disney. The company was also contracted for the demolition of the NBA Experience and now the construction of its replacement, Level99. Adena was involved in the retheming of Fairytale Garden in Magic Kingdom to a Mirabel meet and greet.
Facility Asset Management usually handles regular refurbishments, so we don’t expect any significant changes to Toy Story Mania. The permit expires on September 26, 2025.
There has been ongoing construction around the exit queue of this attraction for years, at least in part for the addition of covered seating at Woody’s Lunch Box. The permit could potentially be related to this construction.
Disney has not announced a closure for the ride.
