Disney World and Disneyland Apps Show Blank Screen When Attempting to Screenshot PhotoPass

The Walt Disney World and Disneyland apps now display a blank screen when users attempt to screenshot a Disney PhotoPass photo.

Users who try to screenshot the Disney PhotoPass section of the My Disney Experience or Disneyland apps will instead get a blank image, as seen above. This happens whether you have paid for a PhotoPass package or not.

Guests can still browse and purchase their photos, they just can’t take screenshots. Guests who have not paid for PhotoPass will still see their photos with a watermark over them. Those who have paid and want to save their photos should use the actual download button instead of screenshotting.

Photos do still show up when attempting to screenshot a PhotoPass page on the Walt Disney World and Disneyland desktop websites.

Have you experienced this new update in your My Disney Experience or Disneyland Resort apps? Were you previously someone who would just screenshot your PhotoPass photos rather than purchasing them? Share your thoughts with us on social media.
