Disney Parks has shared a first look at the Miguel and Dante figures that have been added to Disneyland Park’s “it’s a small world.”

Miguel and his alebrije, Dante, is joining the other children of the “it’s a small world” Mexico scene along with a marigold bridge. Miguel is wearing his red and gold Mariachi outfit and is holding the guitar originally played by Ernesto de la Cruz in the film. Dante is in his alebrije form, so he is very colorful.

“it’s a small world” was originally scheduled to reopen on April 25. It was then delayed to May 9. According to the Disneyland website, and this new post the ride is confirmed to reopen on Tuesday, May 13.
The attraction facade will also be lit up with “Tapestry of Happiness,” a new 70th anniversary projection show. The show will feature light, music, and projection effects as it creates “an animated mosaic of Disneyland attractions, moments and memories” in the unique style of Disney artist Mary Blair, who designed “it’s a small world.” The show will feature the original 70th anniversary celebration theme song, “Celebrate Happy,” along with nods to recognizable Disneyland tunes from across the decades.

Disney and Pixar also recently announced a Coco Sequel. Though the original announcement said the film would be released in 2029, that year has been removed from both the post on X and on The Walt Disney Company website.
