One of the items “inspired by the past” for Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary is a classic Banana Split from the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor.

Banana Split – $11.29

Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry Ice Creams topped with Strawberries, Pineapple, Hot Fudge, Fresh Banana, Chopped Nuts, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry

This banana split is stacked high with toppings. The banana itself was nice and ripe. There weren’t a lot of pineapple pieces or strawberries. It’s a standard banana split, and it was hard to find a spot to eat it where it wouldn’t melt into soup. However, if you’re in the mood for a classic, this’ll hit the spot. It’s a nostalgic, fitting offering, but we’d probably pick something more unique.
