The first character-inspired second-generation interactive wands have arrived at Universal Orlando Resort.
The first several second-generation interactive wands released in March were all generic, but these three new additions are based on the wands of Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore, and Hermione Granger as seen in the “Harry Potter” films.
The wands are available from the Universal Studios Store in Universal Studios Florida and CityWalk. They are displayed with other second-generation interactive wands.
While the generic second-gen wands come in black boxes with gold wand stickers, the character wands come in different colored boxes with stickers of the characters’ names.
Harry Potter Second Generation Interactive Wand – $85
Harry’s wand comes in a dark gray box. Gold filigree and a wand logo are across the top. The interior lining is black.
Harry’s wand is one of the most stick-like of the series. It’s brown with a darker, knotted handle. It’s supposedly made of holly with a Phoenix feather core.
Hermione Granger Second Generation Interactive Wand – $85
Hermione’s wand comes in a blue box, also with black lining.
Hermione’s wand is dark brown with vine-like elements wrapped around the handle. It’s supposed to be made of vine wood with a dragon heartstring core.
Albus Dumbledore Second Generation Interactive Wand – $85
Dumbledore’s wand comes in a burgundy red box.
Dumbledore’s wand is actually the legendary Elder Wand. It has textured honeycomb-like elements. There are runes around the handle.
The Elder Wand is made of elder wood with a Thestral tail hair core. In the “Fantastic Beasts” series, Dumbledore wields a black wand with silver detailing since those series take place before he takes possession of the Elder Wand.
