The reopening of “it’s a small world” at Disneyland was delayed once again, this time by just a few days.

“it’s a small world” was originally scheduled to reopen on April 25. It was then delayed to May 9. According to the Disneyland website, the ride will now reopen on Tuesday, May 13.

The classic attraction has been closed since January 2025 after its 2024 run as “it’s a small world” Holiday.

Despite the delay, construction walls came down from “it’s a small world” in late April. The exterior refurbishment included facade touch-ups, the installation of a new clock face, and brick replacement on the walkways.

Inside, the Mexico scene is getting new dolls of Miguel and Dante from “Coco.”

On July 17, “it’s a small world” will debut a new verse in tribute to the Sherman brothers for the 70th anniversary of Disneyland. “The Last Verse” was written by Richard M. Sherman before his passing in 2024. Listen to it below.

A new 70th anniversary projection show, “Tapestry of Happiness,” will also debut on the “it’s a small world” facade this summer. The show will feature light, music, and projection effects creating “an animated mosaic of Disneyland attractions, moments and memories” in the style of Mary Blair, the artist who designed “it’s a small world.”

The Disneyland 70th anniversary celebration begins on May 16 and runs through the summer of 2026.
