Keystone Clothiers Facade Finally Fixed 2 1/2 Years After Collapse at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Over two and a half years after part of the Keystone Clothiers facade suddenly collapsed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, crews have finally finished repairing the shop’s doorway and adjacent windows.

Construction walls are down from around the formerly broken entrance. It looks almost exactly like the facade did before the 2022 collapse. For comparison, below is a picture of the facade from 2020.

And below is a picture from September 2022, when part of the doorway and the adjacent wall fell apart.

Soon after the collapse, construction walls went up around the entrance. They remained for one year. When they finally came down, the broken areas had only been covered by temporary green paneling, as seen below.

Construction to actually fix the broken facade began in February 2025. Though the damage was mostly on the door frame, both marble window frames were demolished and reconstructed, too. Keystone Clothiers has remained open during construction thanks to two other entrances.

The door frame’s green, black, and yellow marble design has returned. Two Art Deco lamps are mounted on the sides of the door. Metal decorations are at the top of the frame.

The lamps and decorations are identical to the facade’s original elements but have been absent since the collapse. They are the same dark metallic color.

The pink walls above the door frame and windows were repainted (although some lighter marks of paint are still visible if you look closely). The faded gray marble panels on the lower parts of the white columns were replaced with fresh black marble panels.

“The Fashion Spot” plaques are on either side of the doorway, on the white columns.

The lower part of this window structure was also damaged in 2022. It has been completely replaced. The top two-thirds are white marble, while the bottom is green marble that matches the door frame.

The other window structure is identical. Both have dark brown frames around the windows, which feature gold Art Deco designs. They have the same metal decorations as the door frame at their tops.

It looks like the double doors themselves were not replaced. They are a bronze-brown with two vertical windows and long handles. During the day, the doors are usually propped open.

There is some damage and splattered paint on the doors and around the edges of the facade. These might be touched up in the coming days.

Keystone Clothiers is on Hollywood Boulevard, the main street of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and sells Star Wars and Marvel merchandise.
