Mickey and his friends have exchanged their usual outfits for special Disneyland 70th anniversary costumes during their usual march along with the Disneyland Band.
March Along with Mickey for 70th Anniversary

Mickey and his friends marching alongside the Disneyland Band is a regular occurrence that usually takes place daily in Disneyland Park. However, with the Disneyland 70th anniversary celebration officially beginning on May 16, the pals have exchanged their usual cartoon outfits for their new 70th costumes.

The official events with Mickey wearing his 70th anniversary costume do not begin until May 16, so this march with the Disneyland Band is one of the first official events with these new outfits visible to guests. The costumes were already previewed by Disney in a social media post and include shades of blue, pink, purple, and yellow. The outfits match the swirled color scheme seen on many of the new Disneyland 70th decorations installed around the park for the event.

Following Mickey, Minnie, and the main group of band members are a few more characters. The march included Chip, Dale, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.

Like Mickey and Minnie, the other characters are also wearing blue outfits in a similar style to their usual attire, but with the color splashes of pink, purple, light blue, and yellow. Interestingly, Daisy was the only member of the Fab Five not included in this march with the Disneyland Band.

Bringing up the rear with Goofy was Pluto. Pluto’s 70th outfit is more subtle, but his usual collar has been exchanged for a new blue fabric and a multicolored, star-shaped dog tag. While not included in the march, Duffy and ShellieMay have also debuted new Disneyland 70th Celebration costumes for their appearance in The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade.

In addition to Mickey and his friends wearing new costumes, all of the drums in the band have new 70th anniversary logo drum heads.
Times for the band march sometimes change, but we watched at 12:30 p.m. PT.
