Guests can now join the Muppets when riding the Disney Skyliner at Walt Disney World Resort thanks to new Muppets 70th anniversary decals on one of the gondolas.

The yellow gondola is decorated with decals featuring various Muppets. Like other Disney Skyliner gondolas, they appear to be looking out the windows of the high-flying vehicle. Fozzie, Miss Piggy, and Sam Eagle are on one of the wide sides.

On one of the small sides, Kermit the Frog is pictured playing his banjo below a rainbow. The backgrounds of each image feature red curtains, columns, and archways inspired by “The Muppet Show.”

The doors have green “Muppets 70 Years” decals.

We saw the new gondola traveling to and from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Disney Skyliner also transports guests to EPCOT and various Walt Disney World hotels.

Today — May 9, 2025 — marks 70 years since the premiere of “Sam and Friends,” which introduced the concept of the Muppets, although they would go through many changes before becoming the Muppets we know and love.

The Muppets are currently represented at Walt Disney World with Muppet*Vision 3D, but the show will permanently close next month to make way for a Monstropolis land. Disney may be recording a full performance for archival purposes. The Muppets will take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at a later time.
