Universal has just dropped an exciting new shoulder plush shaped like our favorite DreamWorks dragon, Toothless.

We found the new plush at the “How to Train Your Dragon”-themed merchandise kiosk across from Doc Sugure’s Desert Kebab House in Universal Islands of Adventure, which is still called Heraldry despite now carrying the dragon-themed merchandise. The plush will likely appear at some other Universal merchandise locations soon.
Toothless Shoulder Plush – $25

While we have seen many Toothless items in Isle of Berk over at Epic Universe, this brand new item includes Toothless in a shoulder plush version. Toothless is shrunk to a smaller size with a slightly larger head than the rest of his body. Toothless is pictured with a smiling face and his bright green eyes looking up cutely.

The plush Toothless includes his arms, wings, ears, spines, and tail sticking out from the sides of his body.

Most of the plush is covered in soft velvety material, while his wings and tail are a slightly harder black material to keep their angular shape.

The tag included with the plush does use the logo for the upcoming live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” film, so it is likely this item is new for the film’s release rather than being a leftover Isle of Berk item.

In the style of other shoulder plushies, Toothless comes with a small magnetic puck that is designed to fit under the sleeve of your clothes. The magnetic pull keeps Toothless perched on the side of either shoulder, as though he is traveling with you on your next adventure.

Other shoulder plush released by Universal in the past have included a baby Niffler from the “Fantastic Beasts” films, an animated snowy owl for “Harry Potter,” and Mini-Puft man from “Ghostbusters.”
Meanwhile, the live-action adaptation of “How to Train Your Dragon” will be in theaters on June 13, 2025. The film, which is directed by original film co-director Dean DeBlois, has already been confirmed to be receiving a sequel in 2027.
