Another piece of ‘Olu Mel merchandise has made the trek from Aulani to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World. This ‘Olu Mel plush magnet joins the Spirit Jersey, ukulele, and more released at BouTiki earlier this year.
‘Olu Mel Plush Magnet – $15
This is a small plush version of ‘Olu Mel with embroidered details and felt fingers and toes. He has an extra-large head — almost as big as his body. He’s a light green turtle with blue eyes and a teal shell.
He has a hidden Mickey on one of his legs and on the back of his shell.
‘Olu Mel is a friend of Duffy. He was first introduced as ‘Olu in 2018 and is known for his musical talents. Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa is his home in but he has also appeared at other international Disney Parks with his friends.
Tokyo DisneySea, the home of Duffy, is celebrating 20 years of Duffy & Friends with decorations, a Monorail wrap, special food and souvenirs, merchandise, re-released Duffy badges, and the “Colorful Happiness Journey” harbor greeting.
Duffy and ShellieMay will appear in a character cavalcade at Disneyland in California for the park’s 70th anniversary. The Disney Adventure, sailing out of Singapore, will debut Disney Cruise Line’s first Duffy & Friends show and shop.
