Three new Starbucks Discovery Series mugs available at Walt Disney World are inspired by the “Star Wars” planets Geonosis, Tatooine, and Kashyyyk.
Geonosis Starbucks Mug – $24.99
The Geonosis mug’s artwork is shades of orange with blue highlights. The planet was featured in “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones” and is where The Clone Wars kicked off. Images around the planet’s name include Jango Fett, a Super Battle Droid, and Yoda with his lightsaber drawn.
Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi stand next to each other with their lightsabers crossed. Around them are some of the creatures of Geonosis, which Count Dooku and the Separatists try to use to kill Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Padme.
Mace Windu, R2-D2, and C-3PO are also pictured. The latter’s head is on a battle droid’s body. The original Death Star plans are depicted as a hologram.
The inside of the mug is red-orange.
Tatooine Starbucks Mug – $24.99
The Tatooine mug’s color scheme is sandy brown, orange, black, and blue. Young Anakin Skywalker represents his home world, pictured next to the planet’s name. Next to him are his and Sebulba’s Podracers. Watto is pictured flying above.
The mug also features Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes, the Bith band known for performing in Mos Eisley. Jawas and their Sandcrawler are in the background.
It wouldn’t be Tatooine without Jabba the Hutt, who is depicted in blue. Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker are beside him. The skiff where Jabba tries to have Luke and Han Solo killed is pictured.
The inside of the mug is an appropriately sandy brown color.
Kashyyyk Starbucks Mug – $24.99
Kashyyyk, the home world of Chewbacca and his fellow Wookiee, is depicted with mostly green iconography and red-orange highlights. Some of the planet’s treehouse structures and the sacred Origin Tree are around the planet’s name.
Wookiee general Tarfful is pictured with his Kashyyyk long-gun. Beside him is a Clone Trooper.
A large tree with treehouses attached stretches across one side of the mug. There is a lake and spires in the distance. Clone Troopers and a swamp speeder are in the foreground.
More Wookiee warriors are pictured ready for battle. Kashyyyk’s first appearance was in “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith,” in which Yoda fought alongside the Wookiees.
The inside of the mug is teal green.
Each mug holds 14 oz / 414 mL. They are microwavable and dishwasher-safe.
They come in black display boxes feature the “Star Wars” logo and iconography.
The mugs were released at Celebrity 5 & 10 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May the 4th, Star Wars Day. Other new “Star Wars” merchandise at the park includes Black Spire Outpost apparel and a May the 4th Spirit Jersey.
