Travel to the past with the new Time Turner popcorn bucket inspired by the magical object from the “Harry Potter” series, now available from Universal Orlando Resort.
Time Turner Popcorn Bucket – $34.99
The bucket is an enlarged plastic version of the pendant worn by Hermione Granger and other time travelers in the Wizarding World. It’s shiny gold plastic with two rings around a medallion. In the center of the medallion is an hourglass.
The pieces actually spin, so the white sand in the hourglass pours back and forth. Stamped around the hourglass are stars and circles.
The back of the bucket is clear to show the popcorn — or other snacks and treasures — inside. It opens from the top. Your first fill of popcorn with the bucket is free.
It includes a detachable black strap printed with the inscription from Hermione’s Time Turner:
I mark the hours, every one,
Nor have I yet outrun the sun.
My use and value, unto you,
Are gauged by what you have to do.
The Time Turner popcorn bucket is available at Universal Studios Store in Universal CityWalk Orlando. It’s also available at Universal Studios Hollywood for Universal Fan Fest Nights.
Time Turners are most prominently featured in “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” when Hermione Granger is given permission to use one to complete more classes than should be possible. In “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, all of the British Ministry of Magic’s Time Turners were broken. But that doesn’t stop Dolores Umbridge from trying to use one in Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, the new ride in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe.
