During the Disneyland 70th Celebration, the “it’s a small world” facade is illuminated with a nightly projection show called “Tapestry of Happiness.”
Tapestry of Happiness

The art style of “Tapestry of Happiness” is inspired by Mary Blair, the Disney artist who designed “it’s a small world.” The projection show is a “visual love letter to 70 years of unforgettable Disneyland experiences celebrates beloved attractions, cherished moments and the timeless spirit of the Happiest Place on Earth.”

The Disneyland entrance with the Mickey-shaped planter bed is featured.

Mickey balloons fill the facade as they float up, up, and away.

Next, the projections travel down Main Street, U.S.A.

“it’s a small world” transforms into Sleeping Beauty Castle.

There are plenty of “it’s a small world” inspired moments as well.

The Main Street Electrical Parade may not have returned for the 70th anniversary, but it’s here in projection form.

More of Main Street, U.S.A., including the Penny Arcade and Crystal Arts, appeared.

Classic attractions are highlighted, such as Pirates of the Caribbean above.

It wouldn’t be a Disneyland celebration without a nod to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.

A tribute to the Sherman Brothers was also featured.

Sorcerer Mickey from “Fantasmic!” makes an appearance.

Kylo Ren and his First Order Troopers represent the new age of Disneyland in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

The Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, and more Alice in Wonderland icons are shown.

And, of course, the Haunted Mansion is highlighted, with the Hatbox Ghost front and center.

The projections take a Wild Ride with Mr. Toad.

The retro Disneyland marquee is surrounded by pixie dust.

Monorails zoom past, with fleet colors both past and present.

The show returns to Sleeping Beauty Castle, where Mickey emerges.

It returns to “it’s a small world” before turning back into the castle.

The Partners Statue with Walt and Mickey hand-in-hand looms golden before Sleeping Beauty Castle.

“Tapestry of Happiness” features the Disneyland 70th Celebration’s theme song, “Celebrate Happy” performed by the Jonas Brothers. The soundtrack also includes new recordings of recognizable Disneyland tunes.
“Tapestry of Happiness” officially premieres on May 16 and is performed at 9:50 p.m., 10:20 p.m., 11:30 p.m., and 11:45 p.m. nightly.
