Le Gobelet Noir
About
Read the official description below.
A mysterious time worn auberge (small inn) sits in the shadowy corners of Paris’s Place Cachée. This is Le Gobelet Noir, where Dark magic is always on the menu. Here, away from the prying eyes of the Paris Ministry, Dark witches and wizards have gathered for centuries to share a hearty meal, a drink and hushed conversations.
Location
Le Gobelet Noir is located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, tucked away in the Quartier de Nicolas Flamel, near Bar Moonshine.
Exterior
Interior

Upon entering Le Gobelet Noir, guests will find themselves in this small entry area. A fireplace with a cauldron sits at the back of the room. A broom rack is affixed to the back wall, for those who flew in to Place Cachée to store their means of transport while they dine.

A unique design is illustrated on the stone above the fireplace. We’re not sure of its origins, but it appears to be symbols related to transfiguration. In the evening, the fireplace here glows blue behind the cauldron.

Turning down either of the two left hallways, you’ll find a stone corridor.

In this room, you’ll encounter a bar area with two cash registers and various beverages on tap.

Two giant casks protrude from the wall behind the bar.

After placing your order with one of the witches or wizards here, you’ll continue down the next hallway and find yourself in a large dining area.

This first dining room is packed with various tchotchkes, antiques, and works of art.

The ceilings are lined with wood beams, and the walls clearly show age, with brown and black marks near the tiled floor. Each table in this room currently sports a QR code that will take guests to the restaurant menu for mobile ordering.

At the back of the room are two entryways into two other dining areas.

There are two other doorways that lead into additional dining space that can be accessed from this first room.

Portraits, paintings, and other items have been stacked on top of the doorways to other dining rooms.

The first dining area through the doorway on the far left leads travelers into a stone-walled room with one window letting in a small bit of natural light.

Benches line the walls with tables in front of them. There are a few tables in the center of the room, as well.

The second dining area brings diners to a wine storage area. This room is a bit smaller, and features round, longer tables with stools.

Wine bottle storage covers the stone above each of the entryways into other dining areas, though these are, once again, just for show.

The third dining room features dark, wooden tables, chairs, and benches. All sorts of art and prints line the walls around the room, near the ceiling. A set of stairs is at the back of the dining area, but they’re just for show.

This room sports several longer tables put together with benches, two-person tables with chairs, and a fireplace with more transfiguration symbols carved into the stone.

To the right in this fourth main room are more offshoots to additional dining space, each one with its own decor style.

Above is one of those areas, which features interior design similar to the first dining area we encountered.

The other room off to this side features more bench seating along the back wall, tables with benches, and two-person tables with chairs. A glowing blue fireplace is on the left wall, which is shared with the dining room from which we entered.

Like the fireplace in the entry room, this fireplace sports transfiguration-like script on the brick.

More art hangs on the walls near the entryway, featuring print ads for Le Gobelet Noir and more.
On one wall, we spotted a flyer informing patrons of a “serious incident” at Cirque Arcanus (translated from French):
Bureau de La Justice Magique
Attention!

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the investigators at the B.D.L.J.M.
