Crews added the subtitle of “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” to the new mural on Sunset Showcase in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The mural has been in the works for a week above the main entrance of Sunset Showcase, which previously housed Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. A shattered glass effect and the word “Villains” were added. On Wednesday morning, crews had added “Unfairly Ever After” below “Villains.” A Disney logo will presumably go above the words.

The mural isn’t yet complete. There’s still painter’s tape around the words and the edges of the mural.

Disney was holding Cast Member previews of “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” this week. Rolling planters had been rearranged to create an entrance and exit, with A-frame signs designating “Event Check-In” and “Exit Only.”

Tall golden poles stand on a small platform near palm trees and a pink stucco wall under a blue sky.

These poles next to the courtyard entrance were painted a shiny gold overnight. Paint work has not been completed at the bottom of the poles. They were previously white, with the tallest holding a Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy sign.

“Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” officially opens on May 27, alongside  “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.” Check out both show’s performance times.

“Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” sees villains trapped in the realm of the Magic Mirror. Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, and Maleficent take the stage to claim the title of most misunderstood. Check out a sneak peek of the show.
