Universal Orlando Shares Epic Universe Grand Opening Day Timing, Details of ‘Brief Celebratory Moment’ with Guests

With just three days until the portals open, Universal Orlando Resort has shared more details regarding the timing of the grand opening day of Epic Universe, including the “brief celebratory moment” that was previously announced for guests.

According to the Universal Orlando website, the park hours for Epic Universe on opening day will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The parking lot for the park, including ride-share drop-off, will open at 6 a.m. Shuttle buses from all Universal Orlando Resort hotels will begin traveling to the park at that time, as well.

Turnstiles at both the Chronos front entrance and the Universal Helios Grand Hotel dedicated entrance will open at 7 a.m.

In addition, guests in the park can enjoy the previously announced “brief celebratory moment” of the grand opening of Epic Universe starting at 8 a.m. ET, as Universal “open[s] the portals to worlds beyond anything you’ve experienced.”

The grand opening celebration for Epic Universe will be livestreamed on the evening of May 21, with fans able to sign up for an email reminder to join once it goes live.

Epic Universe officially opens this Thursday, May 22, and includes five “worlds” — Celestial Park, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Dark Universe, and Super Nintendo World.
