Custodial Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort have donned brand-new costumes with different colors and updated materials.
New Custodial Cast Member Costumes

Disney revealed the new custodial costumes in a video last month. Custodians previously wore all white, but the new costumes are two different shades of blue. They consist of a button-up short-sleeved top and pants or shorts.

The pants are a darker shade of blue that is close to teal. The shirt is a light blue with the dark blue under the arms and running across the center buttons. While the video reveal included a matching baseball cap, we also encountered Cast Members wearing a white and blue bucket hat. The hip bag included with the costume is also the same teal blue color.

Designers took feedback from Cast Members when making the new outfits. They are made of a more lightweight fabric with UV protection and moisture wicking. They have additional pockets for storing supplies. The pant length is also adjustable thanks to buttons around the ankles.
The new costumes still include the classic Mickey sweeping logo from the previous costumes on the chest.
We saw Cast Members wearing the new looks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but they will be instituted resort-wide.
This is just the latest new Cast Member costume at Walt Disney World Resort following a wave of similar changes. Parking lot attendants got new costumes earlier this year, as did the Voices of Liberty performers at EPCOT. With the opening of Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana” in 2023, World Nature Cast Members at EPCOT also got new costumes. Main Street, U.S.A. Cast Members received new costumes last year, including at the Emporium, Casey’s Corner, and restaurants. Many of the updated costumes are made of environmentally-friendly recycled materials.
