Concrete Replacement Almost Complete at The Haunted Mansion Entrance in Magic Kingdom

Crews have almost finished replacing the cobblestone pavement of The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom.

After a few weeks of work, the pavement in The Haunted Mansion’s exit queue was completely replaced. Work then moved to the curved cobblestones in front of the mansion’s entrance archways. The cobblestones are not actual stones, but stamped concrete.

The pavement in front of the entrance archways was temporarily replaced by black boards. There is now cobblestone-style pavement in front of the gates. The only black boards remain on the far left, in front of a column at the standby entrance.

Inside The Haunted Mansion, members of a ghostly tea party were refurbished and reinstalled last year. The Duke and Duchess animatronics, however, did not start moving again until this April.

Other The Haunted Mansion updates in recent years include the addition of the Hatbox Ghost, a character who originated in Disneyland. In 2023, Madame Leota was updated and the tea-sipping mummy animatronic was refurbished. The attic scene also received Rolly Crump’s Candleman.
