A new “Elio” photo-op has been added to Disney Springs near the entrance of the AMC Theater.

A large movie theater entrance with "Elio" posters and banners, trees, and a partly cloudy blue sky overhead.

The large billboard and a smaller sign with film’s official poster are located just to the left of the AMC theater entrance. “Elio” replaces the “Lilo & Stitch” photo-op that was previously located in this same spot at Disney Springs. They match the many new signs and hanging banners that have also been added around the AMC exterior.

The photo-op features Elio and his alien friend, Glordon, sailing through the Communiverse in bright shades of blue and purple. The top of the photo-op urges guests to see the film at Disney Springs. The official film poster to the right showcases several other characters from the film, including Lord Grigon, OOOOO, and some of the Communiverse ambassadors.

Decor for “Elio” is also now up at the AMC entrance at Disney Springs West Side.

The decor includes a galaxy “carpet” decal on the ground, banners lining the walkway to the entrance, a poster to the left of the entrance, and banners at the step-and-repeat across the walkway.

Elio and his alien pals have also taken over Merchant of Venus in Magic Kingdom and are featured in a limited time sneak peek of the film now showing in “One Man’s Dream” alongside a small art exhibit. A merchandise collection featuring “Elio”-inspired apparel is now available at multiple locations around Walt Disney World. The Pixar film is set to release on June 20, 2025. Here’s the official film description:

For centuries, people have called out to the universe looking for answers—in Disney and Pixar’s all-new feature film Elio, the universe calls back! The cosmic misadventure introduces Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession. So, when he’s beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide, Elio’s all in for the epic undertaking. Mistakenly identified as Earth’s leader, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be.

The film is directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina from a screenplay by Julia Cho, Mark Hammer, and Mike Jones. It’s produced by Mary Alice Drumm. The cast also features Zoe Saldaña as Elio’s aunt, Brad Garrett as Glordon’s father Lord Grigon, Jameela Jamil as Questa, and Shirley Henderson as OOOOO.
