Recent pictures shared online have revealed the first look at some of the many decorations being added to Hong Kong Disneyland as the resort prepares for its upcoming 20th anniversary celebration.
Hong Kong 20th Anniversary Decorations

Hong Kong Disneyland will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with “The Most Magical Party of All.” As previously announced, the celebration will include Mickey in his new costume for the anniversary, a new castle show called “Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle!”, and several new merchandise items.
A new daytime parade, called “Friendtastic!” will be the largest-ever in scale at Hong Kong Disneyland, with 11 floats and over 30 Disney characters. “Friendtastic!” will include the first parade float themed specifically to Duffy and his friends, which has been featured in some teaser pictures. Finally, the resort shared a first look at “Momentous: Party in the Night Sky,” which is a 20th anniversary version of their nighttime spectacular, but with the new additions of Main Street projections, drones, and more.

The series of new pictures was all shared by Disney Magical Kingdom Blog, or @DMK_Blog on X. The first two pictures show the main entry area, which is similar to Disneyland Park with a station for the Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad behind a large garden. The floral Mickey has now been decorated with multicolored balloons, several of which appear to light up at night.

Moving inside the park, a large display has been added to the flowerbed in the middle of Town Square. The display has several golden swirls forming a Mickey icon in the center. On either side of the swirl are figures of Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Minnie. All four characters are made of semi-transparent material with an almost gemstone-like reflective appearance. They are all holding more of the 20th anniversary balloons.

One more, slightly smaller, display has been added to the flowerbed closer to the Castle of Magical Dreams. This display keeps the swirled gold style, but there is a blank space in the middle, with a smaller Mickey icon on the right side. It is possible the display isn’t completed yet, though the blank space could also be intentional to act as a photo spot with the castle visible in the background. The Mickey icon replaces a “0” to form the number “20.” More balloons are included with the taller swirls on the left side.

As one would expect, the Castle of Magical Dreams has also been decorated for the upcoming anniversary. The reimagined castle, which first debuted in 2020, includes individual color representations of Princesses and Queens from classic Disney films.

First, four new structures holding what appear to be curled-up banners have been added to the front of the castle, near the top of a few towers. These structures are painted a light shade of brown to match the rest of the castle facade.

Previous art of the new stage show included a look at the front of these towers, which were shown with some purple “20th anniversary” banners. These new elements are likely holders for the banners.

The banners lining the walkway in front of the castle have also been changed. These are all new colors that match the multicolored balloons seen in the previous anniversary decor. The main color scheme seems to include purple, gold, pink, and bright blue.

Finally, Mystic Manor in Hong Kong Disneyland has also received some matching 20th anniversary decorations. This display has been added in front of the attraction’s main curved staircase. Like the previous anniversary decor, it includes golden swirls wrapped around some musical instruments and a trio of multicolored balloons sticking out from the top.

“The Most Magical Party of All” is set to officially begin at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort starting on June 28, 2025. Check out the commercial for the celebration below:
