Disney released the first full trailer and poster for “Freakier Friday” starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan.

Official Trailer Released for ‘Freakier Friday’

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan pose back-to-back, dressed stylishly, on the "Freaky Friday" movie poster.

The poster is inspired by the original “Freaky Friday” poster, with Lohan and Curtis set against purple and green stripes, wearing mismatched clothing. In the sequel, in theaters on August 8, the mother and daughter duo of Anna (Lohan) and Tess (Curtis) don’t switch places with each other, but with Anna’s daughter Harper (Julia Butters) and soon-to-be stepdaughter Lily (Sophia Hammons).

The sequel also sees the return of Chad Michael Murray as Anna’s former boyfriend, Jake. Manny Jacinto is her fiancé and Lily’s father, Eric Davies. The cast also includes Rosalind Chao as Pei-Pei, the Chinese restaurant owner who triggered Tess and Anna’s original switch; Mark Harmon as Ryan, Tess’ husband; Vanessa Bayer as a fortune teller who seemingly triggers the new switch; and Ryan Malgarini as Anna’s brother Harry.

The new film is directed by Nisha Ganatra. The screenplay is by Jordan Weiss from a story by Weiss and Elyse Hollander. It’s the seventh “Freaky Friday” film, all inspired by Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel “Freaky Friday.”

The full trailer follows a teaser released in March. It includes clips from a scene shown at CinemaCon.
