Universal Studios Japan announced the dates and details of Halloween Horror Nights 2025, including Jurassic Park – The Ride in the dark, a new maze, and returning entertainment.

At Universal Studios Japan, Halloween Horror Nights is daily from Friday, September 5 through Monday, November 3, 2025. There are some offerings open during the day and nighttime offerings from 6 p.m. to park close.

*NEW* Jurassic Park – The Ride In the Dark

Guests will experience Jurassic Park – The Ride in pitch-black darkness. While enjoying a nighttime boat tour of Jurassic Park, the dinosaurs escape and wreak havoc, causing a power outage. This will be available from 6 p.m. to park close.

*NEW* Factory of Fear – Despair Zombie Tour

A terrified woman screams as a group of grotesque, zombie-like creatures loom menacingly beside her.

This horror maze sees guests in a terrifying Zombie Manufacturing Factory, where they encounter chainsaw-wielding Prison Zombies and Cyber Zombies with no sign of help or escape. The maze reveals how the zombies who have appeared in the park during HHN events for years were created. This will be at Stage 22 from 10 a.m. to park close.

*NEW* KATE PRESENTS The Witch’s Mansion on 18th Street – The Mansion of Emotions

This maze is a first-ever collaboration with makeup brand KATE. It will be at Stage 18 from 9 a.m. to park close. In a mysterious mirror-filled mansion lit by eerie neon lights, four witches await. They each represent a different emotion: joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. The witches challenge guests with emotional trials, and those who fully embrace their emotions will be granted an “Elixir of Emotions,” unlocking their own hidden secrets.

*NEW* Smiley’s Happy Halloween Greeting

The Halloween Horror Nights devil Smiley breaks out of the theater at Smiley’s Happy Halloween Greeting. The original character appears in “Chainsaw Man: The Chaos 4-D.” The greeting will be near the Cinema 4-D Theater, with times varying by day.

Chainsaw Man: The Chaos 4-D

This show in the Cinema 4-D Theater premiered last year as part of Universal Studios Japan’s first collaboration with “Chainsaw Man.” The original story features Denji, Aki, Power, and other characters battling the Halloween Horror Nights Devil. This is open from park open to park close.

Chainsaw Man x Hollywood Dream – The Ride

“Chainsaw Man” takes over Hollywood Dream – The Ride with the theme song “KICK BACK.” This will be on the forward-facing version of the ride (Katana VS Chainsaw) and the backward-facing version. This is available from park open to park close.

Resident Evil: Night of Heroes

This outdoor show returns after its 2024 premiere, featuring “Resident Evil” (a.k.a. “Biohazard”) characters battling creatures in an immersive 360-degree experience. The show will be behind Louie’s N.Y. Pizza Parlor from 6 p.m. to park close. New for this year, the last hour will be presented in English.

Chucky’s Carnival of Chaos – Chucky’s Blood-Soaked Festival

Chuck runs wild in a carnival of his own making at this returning maze. Guests wear special glasses, distorting their vision. This maze is reserved for ages 15+. It’s at Stage 18 from 10 a.m. to park close.

Street Zombies

Street Zombies will be even more intense than years past. Guests will face off against a massive, ultra-violent horde of zombies drenched head to toe in blood. Street Zombies is the Universal Studios Japan equivalent of Scare Zones, at various areas park-wide.

Zombie de Dance

Zombie de Dance, first held in 2018, returns with a new artist collaboration. The artist has not been announced. Like Street zombies, this is park-wide.

Hamikuma Sweet Scream Party

Hahaha! Halloween Party encompasses the more family-friendly daytime offerings of the Halloween season. This kicks off on Thursday, September 4. It features a new look with the return of DJ Pikachu and DJ Gengar.

The new version of the Pokémon Halloween event adds a dance party to DJ Pikachu and DJ Gengar’s entertainment. They join up with Ghost-type Pokémon like Mimikyu, Banette, Mismagius, Litwick, and Pumpkaboo with new hard rock and dance music produced by DECO*27. This is in Gramercy Park. Hours vary by day.

Guests can collect candy from team members throughout the park. Make sure to say “Trick or Treat!” This is available from park open to 5 p.m. There are no trick or treat locations in Super Nintendo World or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Death Eater: The Crisis at Hogsmeade POWER UP!

Speaking of Harry Potter, Death Eaters return to Hogsmeade for an enhanced presentation that includes dark magic projections on Hogwarts featuring Dementors and Acromantulas (giant spiders). Death Eaters roam the village. This will be presented from 6 p.m. to park close.

Hogwarts Castle Walk

For the start of the Hogwarts school year, guests can take a special guided walking tour through Hogwarts Castle. This will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This will be available from September 1, 2025, through January 4, 2026.
