In the latest Walt Disney World lawsuit, a mother is suing after her child was startled by a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, causing him to flip his stroller and get injured.
Mother Suing for Flipped Stroller at Galaxy’s Edge

Meghann Miller, a mother from Arizona, filed a lawsuit against Walt Disney World earlier this month for an incident involving her child. According to the suit, Miller was in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 4, 2023, with her child. The report leaves the child unnamed, though clarifies that the child is a minor.
The lawsuit explains that Miller’s child was sitting in a stroller “without an adult nearby” when a performer dressed as one of the roaming Stormtroopers in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge approached him. The situation frightened the child, leading him “to try to move away causing the stroller to flip,” the lawsuit said.
The lawsuit does not contain any details about how old the child was or why he was left unattended. Miller’s attorney did not respond to questions when WDWNT reached out for comment.

Miller accuses Disney of negligence, saying “The aforesaid incident was caused by reasons of negligence of Disney in the training, supervision, and control of its employees in the interaction and approach of its characters with guests and children at the park.”
Miller is also suing Safemark Systems, the company that made the stroller her child was sitting in at the time of the accident, accusing them of having an unsafe product.
The lawsuit doesn’t describe the extent of the child’s injuries, other than saying he has medical bills. “Medical expenses have been incurred and are owed due to the accident on December 4, 2023,” the lawsuit said, adding that Miller “suffered economic losses. The losses are either permanent or continuing and Plaintiff will suffer the losses in the future.”

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge first opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019, giving guests an opportunity to encounter several of their favorite “Star Wars” characters. The roaming characters, who often include Chewbacca, Rey, and the aforementioned Stormtroopers, often interact with guests, including those who are younger. The Stormtroopers are usually seen wandering the land looking for Jedi or Resistance sympathizers, sometimes accompanied by a First Order Officer.
Unfortunately, this is not the first lawsuit faced by Walt Disney World this year. Earlier this summer, a man sued Disney for falling off his inner tube while at Blizzard Beach Water Park, despite reportedly exceeding the slide’s weight limit. However, as our reporters personally confirmed, there are no actual weight limits posted on any of the slides at Blizzard Beach. Meanwhile, a tentative settlement has been reached in a discrimination lawsuit filed against The Walt Disney Company in 2023.

This is ridiculous. Where were the parents ? They left their child unattended. Everyone knows that there are characters wondering around .and not that many of them !
