Some of the neon lighting has been removed from the Walt Disney Presents marquee in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The neon light tubing is gone from the word “Presents” — except the “P” — on the left side of the marquee. The “P” is a separate set of tubing, but the rest of the word was made of one lighting unit. Lights remain in “Walt Disney” above the word.
Though the lights of “Walt Disney” were on when we visited on Saturday, the “P” of “Presents” was not. Wires for the removed tubing were visible in the letters.
For comparison, above is the right side of the marquee with all of the neon light tubing in place and illuminated.
It’s possible crews are replacing the lights or refurbishing the marquee. Disney did not make any refurbishment announcements regarding Walt Disney Presents. All of the venue’s carpeting was replaced earlier this year.
Walt Disney Presents is a gallery exploring Walt Disney’s life and legacy. Exhibits related to recent movie releases and new theme park offerings are sometimes displayed. This is where guests can meet Ariel from live-action “The Little Mermaid.” After touring the exhibits, guests can watch “Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream,” a 15-minute documentary about Disney.
