The old entrance turnstile for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom is gone.

People wait in line near a red structure and metal railings on a sunny day at what appears to be an amusement park.

In the turnstile’s place is a silver metal box, which guests just walk past to reach the attraction’s moving ramp. According to a Cast Member, the turnstile is permanently gone. For now, Cast Members are keeping track of the number of guests boarding using a hand counter.

A new automatic counter will be installed at a later date, possibly at the top of the ramp. This will use sensors to count guests.

This removal comes a few years after the original turnstiles for Carousel of Progress were removed as well as the turnstiles for Country Bear Jamboree.
