As seen in a new social media post, guests have reported that the fire alarm at the Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge was set off a few days ago, causing the sprinkler system to engage.
Boulder Ridge Fire Alarm

In a TikTok video posted by @thr_duo_yt, it appears guests at Boulder Ridge Villas in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge experienced a fire alarm followed by the activation of the building’s sprinkler system.
The video includes the title “Not My Usual Content But I Just Had to Post This INSANE Moment!” The footage shows the interior of the Boulder Ridge Villa building, with water apparently dripping from the ceiling and the handrails by each floor. More water has puddled across the wood on the ground floor, giving the whole area a wet sheen.
The caption over the top of the video says, “Fire on 3rd floor causes flooding in Wilderness Lodge Resort.” However, there have been no other reports of a fire in the building so far, so it is also possible that the fire system malfunctioned.
Some other guests in the comments report seeing large, industrial-sized blower fans in the area around Boulder Ridge, which could have been used to help quickly dry the floor after the sprinklers engaged.
The Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge are located in a separate building to the right side of the main lodge. Boulder Ridge has a small lobby area with a fireplace and rustic-style hanging chandelier, as seen in the fire alarm video. All of the DVC guest rooms were last refurbished in 2023.
