The Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom Park has officially reopened following its most recent refurbishment to move President Donald Trump back to the middle of the stage, though part of his speech from his first term has been cut.

The Hall of Presidents Reopens with Trump Update

As of June 29, The Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom has officially reopened to guests and is now performing during its regularly scheduled times.

The Hall of Presidents closed for refurbishment on January 20, 2025, following the re-election of President Donald Trump. This is a normal closure following the election of any new President, as the new member is added in animatronic form to the stage alongside the past Presidents. The active President is also usually given a more extended speaking role, which in the past few years has involved delivering the oath of office. The lobby of The Hall of Presidents reopened earlier this month, mainly to give guests in the park one more place to sit inside during the Florida summer.

This 2025 refurbishment closure lasted a little over five months, which is a slightly shorter period compared to some of the past closures for The Hall of Presidents. The previous turnaround time was 11 months for President Trump’s first term and 6 months for the addition of President Biden.

Following the election of President Biden, the Trump animatronic was moved to the back row of the stage, just slightly to the left of the center, above President John Quincy Adams. This spot has now been filled by the animatronic of Biden, who is standing in Trump’s old spot.

As we reported earlier today, Disney updated the webpage for The Hall of Presidents to confirm that President Trump would be given a speaking role. Despite ongoing rumors that Disney would remove the speaking role of the active President, Trump is once again standing toward the middle of the stage for his oath of office segment.

The Trump animatronic does appear to be somewhat updated since his first term. The image on the right, which was taken during his original appearance in The Hall of Presidents, has some slightly different facial features and a different hairstyle. The image on the left is the new animatronic that now stands in the middle of the stage.

In his previous term, the President Trump animatronic continued talking following the oath of office, as he delivered a short speech on the “achievements of the American spirit.” However, when President Biden was added to the show, this speech segment was cut, and Biden only delivered the oath before the show continued with its narration. Trump’s extended speech has now been cut, and he only delivers the oath in a similar style to Biden before the show continues.
