Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe Sign Returns to Magic Kingdom After 4 Months

After almost four months of being missing, the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe sign has returned to its usual spot in Magic Kingdom.

The hanging sign by this entrance was removed from Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in February, soon after Disney filed a permit to “install signage” at the store’s location. The sign is now back, and it is hanging above the entrance on the right side of the courtyard as usual.

The sign has the same design as it did previously, but it appears to be repainted, or potentially brand new. It has the store’s name in red lettering against a pale yellow background. Sprigs of holly are placed in the corners and fruit is arranged at the bottom among evergreen leaves, all surrounding a fake candle. The sign has a muted blue border.

For comparison, above is a picture of the sign from October 2024 (when it was secured in place with ropes due to an impending hurricane). The design was the same, but the colors of the sign were a bit more faded, with the lettering and the wreath being much darker than they are now.

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe went through a months-long refurbishment from December 2023 through mid-2024. The facades were repaired and repainted and exterior staircases were replaced. The sign’s replacement may be the last step of this refurbishment, though it significantly delayed compared to the rest of the exterior work.
