‘Agrifuture’ Billboard on Disneyland Railroad Covered With Scrim

The “Agrifuture” billboard visible on the Disneyland Railroad is now surrounded by scaffolding and scrim, presumably for a refurbishment.

Disneyland Railroad Billboard Covered

The billboard is located at a railroad crossing behind Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Guests usually see it during their grand circle tour right after passing “it’s a small world,” before arriving at the Tomorrowland railroad station. Scaffolding covered in green scrim now surrounds the billboard.

The scrim extends behind the billboard, fully covering its supports. The billboard is likely undergoing regular maintenance, like getting a new paint job. Below is our photo of the billboard from earlier this year.

An orange barrier stands before a billboard for "Agrifuture" with its futuristic agriculture theme. Trees and buildings frame the scene as sunlight filters through the branches.

Advertising the potential future of agriculture, it features a version of the “American Gothic” painting by Grant Wood. The farmer and his wife have some high-tech equipment and are pictured alongside corn and fruits. A robot is pictured watering the ground.

The billboard is also visible in our video POV of the Disneyland Railroad at about the 9:20 mark.

The Disneyland Railroad has been undergoing phased refurbishments for the past several months, sometimes closing for work.
