New ‘Dreams Take Flight’ Stage Show Debuts at Tokyo DisneySea

The new “Dreams Take Flight” stage show premiered at Tokyo DisneySea on July 16, 2025. Tokyo Disney Resort announced the show last year. It features Mickey and his friends fixing up an airplane so Minnie can fly. The new 25-minute show is at the Hangar Stage in Lost River Delta.

The show takes guests through a day at the airplane factory. True to its name, the stage resembles a hangar, with a silver and red plane on stage most of the time.

The opening number is led by factory chief, Pete, joined by the craftsman who help build the plane. The workers are dancers in vibrant, shiny overalls.

The crew is joined by Mickey Mouse in his own overalls. They go over what needs to get done before the plane is ready for flight.

The next number takes place when a sudden downpour causes the factory roof to leak. The raindrops fall into paint cans, creating a rhythm.

Paint specialist Donald Duck leads this number as the rhythm of the rain turns into a dance beat and the hangar is overrun with colorful paint splatters.

The workers take a break, and one picks up a guitar to sing about their family. Miguel from “Coco” appears to join the song with his own guitar.

Break time is over, and it’s time to gather tools. Chip ‘n’ Dale take on this job.

The chipmunks launch into a song created using the factory’s tools. Trash cans become drums.

The percussion draws Timon from “The Lion King,” who joins the dance with his own dancers.

Suddenly, the power goes out. Max and his team of electricians arrive to repair the blackout. This street-style number uses creative lighting effects, including neon elements and costumes that glow under blacklight.

With the lights fixed, the pilot arrives. Minnie Mouse sings about her dream of flying with dancers wearing matching pilot uniforms.

Minnie is joined by Disney Princesses Pocahontas, Moana, and Merida, who also sing about their dreams and hopes.

Work is almost done. Mickey, Pete, and the gang rush to complete the plane in a relay race. The energetic number leads to the installation of the plane’s propeller.

With the plane complete, Minnie Mouse returns. Mickey and friends welcome her and celebrate the plane’s completion. Pete has a change of heart brought on by the team’s hard work.

It’s time to take flight. Minnie takes her seat in the cockpit and flies the plane into the sky, with the background screen and smoke creating the effect of flight.
