Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a new series of merchandise with retro-style R-Series artwork.
T-Shirt – $34.99
The T-shirt is heather gray with the Droid Depot logo embroidered in white on the left chest. The Aurebesh lettering translates to “Droid Depot” and “Black Spire Outpost.”
The artwork on the back displays a blue and white R-Series droid (like R2-D2). It reads “Customizable R Series Droids! Create Your Own R-Unit!” Other splashy text reads “Assembly Required” and “Build Your Own Today!” The Droid Depot logo is in the lower right corner. There are images of different R-Series parts in blue and orange.
Metal Wall Sign – $49.99
The advertisement artwork is recreated on this metal sign. It’s silver-tone with a weathered, rusty finish. The Aurebesh in the center translates to “Droid Depot.” The lettering in the lower right corner instructs guests to “Contact Mubo, owner of the Droid Depot.”
Journal – $24.99
The artwork is also on the cover of this journal, which has a shiny silver finish. On the back is a colorful advertisement reading, “Hire a Droidsmith.” Mubo, a blue Utai alien, is pictured on the right. Several different droid heads are on the left.
The spine and the front and back pages are silver.
The actual pages for writing or drawing are white with gray dotted grids. The Droid Depot logo is in gray in the lower outer corner of each page.
Some pages feature black-and-white graphics. These include an image of Mubo, an A-LT utility droid, a “Droid for Sale” ad, and a “Build Your Own!” ad.
Droid Depot has droid-themed merchandise as well as the build-your-own droid experience. Advance reservations for the experience are recommended.
