It appears the installation of new siding is complete on the Jaws restrooms building in Universal Studios Florida.

The Jaws bathrooms are one of the last remaining elements of the former Amity Island area that was ultimately replaced by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. The restrooms closed in February and the building’s old shingles and siding were removed. Crews have been installing new siding over the past few weeks and it looks like the building might be completely covered again.

The new siding is black, matching the new roof shingles. There is white trim around the roof and walls. In the photo above, a short white support sticks out of the building. “Village Circle Hall” lettering used to be on this gable.

Under the gable, there appears to have been some structural change. Where there used to be a large opening leading to water fountains, there now appears to be a small window. The entrances to the bathrooms are to either side. On the right, we could see some tape or another material hanging from the beam above the entrance.

During the Amity Island days, this building was light blue with white trim and a brown roof. It was repainted brown to better fit with the nearby Wizarding World architecture.

The siding may receive a few coats of paint now that installation is complete. There are some white nicks and scratches on the walls. It looks like like two of the vents on the side of the building also need to be repainted white.

The other side has a slightly more finished appearance.

Jaws turned 50 years old this summer and Universal honored the film with decorations and food booths in the San Francisco area of the park, including an homage to the old Jaws ride. They also released a new Jaws merchandise collection and a shark-shaped sipper.
