A bridge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort has been seriously damaged in a truck collision.

Update: As of July 26, 2025, water transportation to and from the resort has resumed its usual operations.

Port Orleans Resort Bridge Damaged

A sign reads: "Walkway to French Quarter closed due to truck accident. Please use bus transportation.

It took place in the Riverside portion of the resort. As a result, water transportation and pedestrian walkways in the area have been closed all day.

Construction workers in safety vests and hard hats gather near parked vehicles by a wooden bridge on a tree-lined road.

The damage was caused by a truck striking the bridge. It was closed shortly thereafter, and crews have been working all day at the site.

Now, they have dismantled the arched “railing” portions of the bridge. The bulk of the bridge is still in place, but its functionality is unknown at this time. It appears to be safe enough for the crews to walk on and drive a vehicle over, but it may remain closed to guests.

Stay tuned for updates as more information is released.
