The Fourth of July golf cart parade has returned to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for 2025.
2025 Fourth of July Golf Cart Parade
The parade stepped off at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 4, starting from its staging location at the Hitch-Unhitch area and making its way to the judging location at Meadow Trading Post. Participants had to sign up ahead of time to participate and show off their decked-out golf carts with patriotic “costumes.”
The parade began with Fort Wilderness Cast Members walking or riding some of the resort’s horses and carrying the resort’s flag along the flag for the United States of America.
A horse drawn carriage followed with American flag bunting draped in the seating area.
Fire and rescue vehicles followed.
Some of the guests lean into a Disney theme, decorate patriotically or combine the two. The 4th of July cart decorations tend to be less of a production than Halloween.
These guests piled their cart with all sorts of inflatable pool floats, balloons, and flags.
This cart is decorated to the theme of “Sweet Freedom” with candy-themed cutouts and ice cream balloons. They also used some red, white, and blue decor.
A large American flag flew behind this festive golf cart.
Red and blue Mickey balloons and USA themed inflatables took a ride on this cart.
Some guests even dress-up to match the aesthetic of their themed-carts.
This cart celebrates Christmas in July rather than the 4th with Hawaiian-themed decorations.
Some carts are so decorated with festive banners, characters, and flags that it is hard to even see the occupants.
Another decorated cart celebrates “the 4th at the Fort.”
Some carts join in the fun with minimal decorations (and furry pals).
Another set of campers leaned into the Fort Wilderness theme with an entire cart dedicated to the campground.
Americana decorations and nods to the campground decorated each side.
Locations such as the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Pioneer Hall, Meadow Trading Post, and even comfort stations were referenced on the cart.
Stitch dressed as Uncle Sam adorned this cart.
Another furry friend enjoyed the parade inside this American Flag wrapped cart.
Another park-inspired cart referenced the Regal Eagle Smokehouse in EPCOT.
A Carousel of Progress-themed cart joined the line-up, as well.
The driver and passengers were dressed as characters from the attraction, with focus on Uncle Orville in the bathtub.
Neat the end of the parade, more festive carts with decorations made their way down the path.
A cart decorated to be a military tank had an interactive element and sprayed water.
