The demonstration has been suspended since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Cast Members have been testing the show in the mornings before park opening, and it returned on Tuesday, July 22.

A scuba diver demonstrates a diver lock-out chamber demo, holding a plastic bag inside a blue-lit cylindrical tank.

During the 10-minute demo, a diver in a wetsuit with an air tank goes into the lock-out chamber in the middle of the aquarium.

As the chamber fills with water, a Cast Member outside of the chamber talks to guests. They discuss diving technology, diving and swimming safety, and the dangers of plastic bags to sea life.

They bring a young guest up on the platform to participate in the show. At the end of the performance, the guest gets a celebration button.

For now, the show only has scheduled times at 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., but it may have surprise performances during the day. Prior to 2020, the show happened about every 30 minutes.
