Summer Cool-Off ‘Get Soaked’ Offerings Now Available at Tokyo Disney Resort

As part of the Summer Cool-Off event at Tokyo Disney Resort, several attractions are offering “Get Soaked” versions of their usual rides. The event began on July 2 and will end on September 15.

“Get Soaked” Harbor Splash

A colorful, decorated fence stands in front of ornate European-style buildings on an empty, stone-paved plaza.

The Harbor Splash summer event is advertised on colorful banners around Tokyo DisneySea’s Mediterranean Harbor. During the event, water is sprayed from jets in the harbor, drenching those nearby. A new show will be presented into the late afternoon.

During “Splash Time,” which is set to run six times daily, there will be more invigorating water spray accompanying upbeat rock music by Mrs. GREEN APPLE. The music will include a new summer theme song from the group.

The colorful signage advertises the “summer cool-off” event in script text, next to images of water erupting from fountains. Red banners are also hung around some of the signage.

“Get Soaked” Zone – Caldera Corridor

The Caldera Corridor, a Mysterious Island path located at Tokyo DisneySea, is another new spot to cool down with mist.

Moving over to Tokyo Disneyland, guest need to take heed of the “You’ll get soaked from here on out!” warning written on this banner. Fun water zones have been installed throughout the land, including some unexpected fountains and misting fans.

The Toontown Fire Department is one of the areas set-up as a splash zone. Pink and black warning labels mark the “get soaked” area, so guests trying to avoid getting wet can stand behind the lines.

Water spews from the hose and other areas of the building. The warning label reads “Be careful of the water from above.”

While it doesn’t look like a ton of water, these guests from a Tokyo Disneyland ad appear to truly be “soaked.”

The nearby Fireworks Factory building also spouts water.

The warning labels for the Fireworks Factory cool-off zone are orange and black, with the same message from above written by Goofy.

The Trolley Barn at Jolly Trolley will feature water and mist sprays as well. Green and black warning labels warn guests of the mist coming from all around.

Water shoots out from misters and the “Toon Wash” station for guests to enjoy.

Country Bear Vacation Jamboree

Introduced at Tokyo Disneyland in the summer of 1994, Country Bear Vacation Jamboree ran until 2019. This summer overlay would take over the usual Country Bear Jamboree from June until Halloween. However, in April of 2023, it was announced that Country Bear Vacation Jamboree would not be returning to Tokyo Disneyland during its usual period. The show has now returned for the summer offerings at the resort.

Animatronic bears perform on a decorated stage with red curtains and colorful costumes in a musical show setting.

In this version, the entire cast of bears wear summer vacation-themed attire for their performances of seasonal western songs.

Liver Lips McGrowl and Big Al don new outfits for their summer adventure.

Gomer appears in a straw hat and vacation shirt, while the Sun Bonnet Trio trade their bonnets for bathing suits. Some of the backgrounds for the scenes also change, such as the tropical postcard saying “Seaside Greetings.”

Aquatopia Extra Water

Two children on a theme park water ride get splashed with water, shielding their faces and laughing in the spray.

The “Get Soaked” version of Aquatopia has returned, as well.

Like “Get Soaked MAX Plus” on Splash Mountain, the limited-time version of Aquatopia features many more water features splashing guests than is normal for the ride.

Splash Mountain “Get Soaked MAX Plus”

In previous summers, Tokyo Disney has presented Splash Mountain “Get Soaked MAX.” However, this new version, called Splash Mountain “Get Soaked MAX Plus” promises even more water than the previous attraction. This enhanced version of the previous “Get Soaked” overlay will spray guests with even more water and add more dynamic splashes. The limited-time offering is designed to cool down both guests on the attraction and onlookers. There will be a limited-edition on-ride photo available as well.

Other Tokyo Disney Resort summer offerings will include the return of Park Hopping, a new summer theme song, new merchandise, and new menu items.  Baymax’s Mission: Cool Down will also return for the season.
