The Walt Disney Company Earns 137 Emmy Award Nominations

The Walt Disney Company has earned 137 nominations for the 77th Emmy Awards, including nominations across ABC, Disney Branded Television, FX, Disney+, and more.

Disney Earns 137 Emmy Nominations

ABC received 38 nominations, marking the most of any broadcast network. 20th Television’s “Abbott Elementary” received its fourth consecutive nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series, and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” earned its 14th nomination for Outstanding Talk Series. ABC also earned four of the five nominations for Outstanding Game Show and Outstanding Host for Game Show. “Will Trent” also received its first nomination for Outstanding Choreography for Scripted Programming.

FX got 35 nominations, including Outstanding Program – Comedy Series, Limited Series, Documentary Series, and Unstructured Reality Series. Limited Series nominee “Dying for Sex” earned nine nominations, including Series, Lead Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Writing, and Directing.

Hulu Originals received 22 total nominations, including four for “Paradise,” the first nomination for “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” and its first stand-up comedy nominations for “Bill Burr: Drop Dead Years.” “Only Murders in the Building” received its fourth consecutive nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series. “The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat” from Searchlight Pictures was also nominated.

The Walt Disney Studios received 25 nominations, including for “Andor,” which earned 14 noms for its final season. Marvel Television also got nominations for “Agatha All Along.”

National Geographic saw five nominations, including Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special for “Tucci in Italy,” Outstanding Cinematography for a Reality Program for “Life Below Zero,” and Outstanding Narrator for “Erased: WW2’s Heroes of Color” with Idris Elba.

Disney Branded Television received four nominations, three of which were for “The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl.” The fourth was for “Doctor Who.”

Disney Television Studios earned 45 nominations, including six Outstanding Program nominations. Onyx Collective, which debuted with the Oscar-winning “Summer of Soul (…or When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised), also received a nomination for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special for “Sly Lives! (aka The Burden of Black Genius).”
