New themed posters full of references to the Disney Parks, particularly its Western-themed attractions and shows, as well as classic Disney films, have been added to the construction walls in Frontierland, near Rivers of America.

Themed Posters Added to Construction Walls in Frontierland

Five vintage-style posters with Western themes are displayed on a brown construction wall under a black lantern.

These posters have only been added to the brown construction walls that block access to Tom Sawyer Island, closer to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Much of this art was previously by the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom interactive window at the now-defunct Frontierland Shootin’ Gallery. We first noticed them go up on Monday, July 21, 2025.

This section of wall includes seven posters in total, advertising “Gold Miners Wanted” for Big Thunder Mining Company, the Hard Times Cafe (a reference to Disney’s The Apple Dumpling Gang (1975), The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Slue-Foot Sue from the Pecos Bill section of Melody Time (1948), and Doctor Terminus, the main antagonist of Pete’s Dragon (1977).

Vintage sign advertises land for sale in Silver Hill, Colorado; also features notices for gold miners and travel.

This section of wall features one standard-sized poster and two smaller posters. The large poster reads:

Hundreds of Acres Land

For sale on 10 years credit

At 6¢ per ct. interest and low prices

Silver Hill, Colorado

The smaller posters advertise more gold miners wanted by Big Thunder Mining Company, and the Little Miracle Elixir from Doctor Terminus.

Turning the corner toward Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are four more new images, all tied to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which takes place in a Louisiana salt mine. Posters include advertisements for the C’est Beau Brand, C’est Beau Brand Sweet Peas, Julius & Co. Powdered Laundry Soap, and an ad for “Coffee Beans Nuts Spices Candy Available by the Pound.”

The next two walls feature more advertisements. On the left are small posters for Shoff’s Spotless Shine Oil Soap for Hardwood (likely a reference to Imagineer Stacy Shoff), Dr. Miga’s Moustache Wax (a possible reference to Evan Miga, art director for Walt Disney Imagineering), the family-owned Makin’ Groceries, C’est Beau Brand Red Beans, and Terrebonne Molasses.

On the right are five more small posters, including Bayou Best Farm Fresh Vegetables, C’est Beau Brand Sugar Corn, Dauphine Cafe. Co, Shiloh & Arthur Brand Creole Tomatoes, and Baby Mae Fancy Mixed Candy.

The final section of walls with new posters has just three, with two repeating from previous walls. The new poster here is for The Great South Seas Cattle Drive, which advises readers to contact Lincoln Costain; this is a reference to The Castaway Cowboy (1974). The other two smaller posters are for Slue-Foot Sue and Big Thunder Mining Company.

These new posters join the previously added PPG Paints placards with quotes that line the walls here and in Liberty Square.

Tom Sawyer Island, the Rivers of America, and the Liberty Square Riverboat closed permanently on July 7, 2025. Check out our final look at Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat. Both closures are to make way for a National Parks-inspired Cars expansion to Frontierland. Check out our latest construction update.
