It what appears to be a growing trend this month, sections of Central Florida, including both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, are under another new heat advisory.
Latest Central Florida Heat Advisory

In a new update from the National Weather Service forecast office in Melbourne, sections of Central Florida are again under a heat advisory for Saturday, July 26. The advisory was first issued earlier this morning, and is set to be in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The effected areas include Lake, Volusia, Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Brevard counties.

Similar to some of the previous heat advisories, the heat risk is a level 3, indicating a major risk that “affects anyone without adequate cooling or hydration.” The heat index for the day is expected to reach a feels-like temperature of 108°F to 110°F. The advisory notes that “temperatures in the low to mid 90s coupled with humidity will produce heat indices up to 108-110 degrees.”

The graphic once again includes some basic tips for dealing with today’s heat advisory, including staying hydrated, wearing light clothing, avoiding outdoor activities during the warmest parts of the day, and staying in air conditioning. It is also a good idea to keep an eye out for nearby water bottle filler stations around Walt Disney World.
This latest heat advisory is part of an unfortunate growing trend for guests visiting Central Florida to spend a day outside at one of the theme parks. The most recent heat advisory was issued on July 21, with more of them previously issued on July 20 and 18. Should this heat wave continue, we may see a few more heat advisories before the end of the summer.
