A new scare zone called Chainsaw Clownz has been announced for Halloween Horror Nights 2025 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

A creepy clown skull with a red nose, crossed chainsaws, and bold "Chainsaw Clownz"—perfect for Scare Zone terror.

This new scare zone was first revealed via a post on the Halloween Horror Nights Instagram account. The post included an image of a skull painted like a clown, with red curly hair and a matching red nose. The skull is situated in front of two crossed chainsaws, with the name of the scare zone sitting below it and covered in red splatter.

The caption included with the announcement reads, “Scare Zone Announcement: A lot of people are terrified of clowns. Well, we’ve decided to give chainsaws to an entire troupe of evil clowns. You’re welcome.”

This is the first scare zone announcement for Universal Studios Hollywood, following the reveal of the haunted house lineup for HHN 2025. The full list is set to include Poltergeist, FalloutWWE Presents: The Horrors of the Wyatt SicksFive Nights at Freddy’sTerrifierJASON UN1V3RSEScarecrow: Music by Slash, and Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America. Universal Studios Hollywood Pass Members will also have the opportunity to experience the Fallout house with the lights on.

As well as the house lineup, Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse will return from 2024. The theme this year will be related to Blumhouse celebrating 15 years of horror.
