Dead Coconut Club Becomes Witch Coven and More Scare Zone Decorations for Halloween Horror Nights 2025

We’re just a few days away from the start of Halloween Horror Nights 2025 at Universal Studios Florida, and crews continue to add final details to the scare zones, Tribute Store, and Dead Coconut Club.

Universal Studios Florida

Music Plaza Queue

Outdoor stage with yellow facade, flanked by metal barriers, in the heart of an HHN Scare Zone with a red roller coaster behind.

Fencing has been added to the Universal Music Plaza for haunted house queues.

An entrance to the queue is located next to one of the house portals. The temporary fencing then weaves across the plaza, leading to the house.

Entrance Portal Screens

Outdoor plaza with artificial grass, a red roller coaster, and HHN scare zone beside a small yellow building under a blue sky.

Speaking of entrance portals, some of them now have mounted screens to display up-to-date wait times during the event. The portals are located at the queue entrance to each house and will also display warnings and safety information.

Trusses by Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and to the side of Universal Music Plaza have mounted screens.

Mutations: Toxic Twenties

A florist stand in an HHN scare zone, covered in flowers and green slime, sits outside a pink city building.

In the Mutations: Toxic Twenties scare zone, the florist stand now has curtains. Red curtains hang in the left trellis and purple curtains hang in the right trellis — matching the flowers on each trellis.

The curtains are strips, so it will be easy for scareactors to pass through them.

A street scene at HHN features a Scare Zone set prop with green slime dripping down walls and door, near shops and people.

The “Stage Door” stage now has splatters of neon green toxic waste. There’s also a new prop covered by a sheet on the BzzzCon barrel.

The “Stage Door” stage and the barrel stage have both received prop rats. These figures have disgusting wounds and bloody mouths. One has toxic waste on its lips.

The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane

Crows are now perched in the cat graveyard and on the railing of the Cat Lady’s house on Crooked Lane — outside Animal Actors on Location! The graveyard features makeshift headstones and framed pictures of cats.

A hole in the graveyard more fake dirt around and inside it. A black tarp hangs inside, too. Some red flowers sit next to the grave.

Club Horror

Additional scaffolding and an empty menu board have been erected around the Club Horror kiosk. Club Horror is a new “street experience,” located in the San Francisco area of Universal Studios Florida. It will feature undead DJs.

Museum of Antiquities Tribute Store

Three large banners about ancient artifacts hang above a museum exhibit in an HHN scare zone; people walk below purple lighting.

Sahara Traders is slowly being transformed into this year’s Tribute Store, inspired by the fictional Museum of Antiquities. Large banners now hang over the exit ramp for Revenge of the Mummy. The faded banners advertise the Triptych of Tributes, Pithos of Epimetheus, and The Living Mummy. These match signs outside the store.

A large Medusa head statue also now sits on atop a shelf. This looks like it was broken off of a larger statue.

UOAP Passholder Socks – $22

A hand holds a HHN Universal Orlando sock with horror art, displayed next to Egyptian-themed shirts.

New UOAP-exclusive Halloween Horror Nights socks are available for purchase at Sahara Traders. Matching the other UOAP merchandise, it features a blood-splattered window design. “UOAP” is spelled out with broken windows. A crow holding an eyeball is perched on the word “Passholder.” There are gargoyles across the top of the design.

Universal Studios Store Windows

The Universal Studios Store now has HHN decals and graphics on its windows. This corner of the store was previously a sweets shop, but it was folded into the rest of the store when Universal Sweets opened across the street.

HHN decals are stuck on the windows above the entrance doors. The decals resemble conservatory windows with vines, blood splatters, and gargoyles. Matching decorations are seen on the store’s smaller windows.

The larger windows feature broken glass designs displaying posters for the IP haunted houses. Pictured above are posters for Five Nights at Freddy’s, Fallout, and Terrifier.

Other windows represent The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks and Jason Universe. There are also posters for the Mel’s Die-In Zombies street experience and HHN mascot Lil’ Boo.

Universal Studios Store Interior Displays

An updated store interior with HHN-themed merchandise, t-shirts, and busts of classic horror characters on display shelves.

There are more decorations placed on the insides of the windows, around displays of HHN merchandise. Shelves are topped with signs and themed backdrops representing the different IPs.

There are sections dedicated to Fallout, Terrifier, and The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks. Some merchandise from different IPs is mixed into the areas. There is also a Universal Monsters section, although the classic characters aren’t featured at this year’s event.

Five Nights at Freddy’s has the biggest section, with large banners and flats depicting the various animatronic characters.

Universal CityWalk

Dead Coconut Club

Entrance of the Red Coconut Club styled for HHN, featuring banners for “Annual Samhain Bash!” and “Welcome Pledges!”

In Universal CityWalk, additional decorations have been added to Red Dead Coconut Club. The club will be themed to a sorority of witches. “Koven” banners now hang from the center balcony and there is a brick-style wrap below the overhang. A pair of faux brick columns with witch hat-inspired toppers lead to the entrance.

There are pumpkins, some carved into jack-o’-lanterns, above the windows. Lots of branches are still staged on the floor behind barriers.

A low wall now displays the “Koven” logo, with more jack-o’-lanterns.

HHN Merch Kiosks

Outdoor kiosk under palm trees sells HHN merchandise, with open doors and bright, sunny weather in the amusement park.

Merchandise kiosks in CityWalk have been transformed into HHN merch stations. They have decals similar to those on Universal Studios Store in the park.

The decals feature gargoyles, glass motifs, and the HHN logo.

HHN merchandise is now available for purchase at the kiosks, which are in front of the CityWalk Universal Studios Store.

Halloween Horror Nights 2025 runs from August 29 through November 2 (plus the sold out Premium Scream Night on August 28).
