Disney’s Hollywood Studios Closing Early Today for Special Ticketed Event

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is closing early today, Saturday, August 16, 2025, for a “Special Ticketed Event.”

Hollywood Studios Closing Early

People strolling near the iconic Tower of Terror ride at a theme park are enveloped by swaying palm trees and vibrant signs, offering a classic Hollywood Studios experience.

According to the Walt Disney World website, today’s hours for Hollywood Studios are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with an 8 a.m. opening for Early Entry guests. This is three to four hours earlier than the typical park closing times. The “Special Ticketed Event,” however, will run from 8 p.m. to midnight. This is likely related to a park buyout or similar event.

Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will all be open their usual hours.

Due to the park’s early closure, there will also be no public viewing of Fantasmic!. However, guests of the private event could get a special viewing.

Park buyouts are not unusual for private corporate events. In June 2024, Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed early for the SAP Sapphire & ASUG Annual Conference in Orlando. Gartner IT has also used Disney’s Hollywood Studios during their yearly symposium. Disney has closed Magic Kingdom early for Cast Member celebrations, as well.
